Name of Club/Organization: Photography/Yearbook Club
Faculty Sponsor/Contact: Ruth Taylor and Jenny Way
Membership Requirements: Members must be in grades 3rd-5th, be able to meet one afternoon a month, exhibit responsibility through good choices and classroom behavior, be in good standing academically, and complete a club application. Once applications are returned, members will be chosen through a random selection process. Four students from each grade level will be chosen to total 12 members.
Financial Obligations/Dues: $30.00 per student
Purpose: The purpose of Bonaire’s Photography/Yearbook Club is to teach students effective methods for taking pictures, to engage students in school activities and learning experiences, and to foster responsibility through assisting with the yearbook.
Activities: Students will be responsible to use a device in order to meet monthly picture quotas and monthly challenges. Challenges may include taking pictures of nature, taking pictures of sports, taking black and white pictures, etc. Students will also learn basic editing skills and create photography projects such as iMovies, collages, etc.
