Bio
Hello! My name is Dena Harris, and I am a 3rd grade teacher at Bonaire Elementary School. This is my 17th year teaching. I have taught Pre-K, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade.
I’ve lived in Middle Georgia my entire life and graduated from Houston County High School in 1999. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Macon State College and my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington.
I’ve been married to my amazing husband, Henry, for twenty-two years. We have two wonderful daughters: Deja, a culinary arts student at Helms College, and Laila, a 10th grader at VHS.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, crafting, and watching Christmas movies. I am so excited about this school year — it’s going to be epic!
