Bio
Greetings- My name is Rozina Brown. I grew up in Macon, Georgia; however, I lived in various places during my military career (Virginia, North Carolina, and the state of Washington. Later, I came back home to Warner Robins, Georgia and married my husband, Rev. Andrew Brown; we have 3 children (Adrianna, Andrea, and Andrew). I'm proud to say that my oldest (Adrianna) has followed in my footsteps to become a teacher. This year will be her first year as a MOID teacher at Russell Elementary. Andrea, is the second oldest. She a manager of Kroger, and Andrew, the youngest of my clan, is a senior at Fort Valley State University majoring in Biology Pre-med. I also attended Fort Valley State University and received my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in early childhood education. After graduating with my Bachelor's, I was commissioned in the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant and served for 4 years. Lastly, I received an Education Specialist Degree from Troy State University. I've taught 29yrs. (5th grade for 28 years and 4th grade for a year). I must say that I am proud to be a part of the Bonaire Wildcat family for 20 years; while at Bonaire, I was also nominated as teacher of the year (TOTY) and served on numerous committees. Overall, teaching has been very rewarding! I simply enjoy being in the classroom watching my students connect with me as I with them. My motto for the year is " leading the way by creating independent thinkers." I want my students to grow in a safe environment where they can become creative thinkers.
