Hello parents and students!

My name is Mrs. Abbott and I am so excited to be your teacher this year! This will be my seventh year at Bonaire Elementary teaching 5th grade. I have just fallen in love with our school and our school community! Before coming to Bonaire, I taught in the Tampa Bay area at a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) charter school. I received my B.A. in Elementary Education from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas and my gifted endorsement through Middle Georgia RESA. I am originally from Illinois.

I have been married to my husband for almost 23 years. We have been blessed with three wonderful daughters ages 16, 18, and 21. I also have a thirteen-year-old mini Dachshund named Kelly (my 4th child!).

I am looking forward to meeting everyone very soon and learning more about you! I know we are going to have an amazing year together!
