Hello parents and students!

My name is Mrs. Abbott and I am so excited to be your teacher this year! This will be my sixth year at Bonaire Elementary teaching 5th grade. I have just fallen in love with our school and our school community! Before coming to Bonaire, I taught in the Tampa Bay area at a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) charter school. I received my B.A. in Elementary Education from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas and my gifted endorsement through Middle Georgia RESA. I am originally from Illinois.

I have been married to my husband for almost 22 years. We have been blessed with three wonderful daughters ages 15, 17, and 20. My oldest attends college at Valdosta State University. Go Blazers! I also have an twelve-year-old mini Dachshund named Kelly (my 4th child!).

I am looking forward to meeting everyone very soon and learning more about you! I know we are going to have an amazing year together!
